CABARET WHRE

BIO

Sarah-Louise Young’s live character comedy show features seven desperate divas from around the globe. From tortured French chanteuse La Poule Plombée to washed-up lounge crooner Bernie St Claire. The show is packed with sparkling original songs written with long time collaborator Michael Roulston and additional material by Richard Link.
‘The accents are spot on, the singing is faultless and the brilliantly observed one-liners had the audience (standing room only) unashamedly chuckling throughout…one of the fringe’s finest musical comedies’.
THE STAGE
'Sarah-Louise Young can sing, act and be funny all at the same time, proving herself a true performer and a force to be reckoned with. She greeted her audience as an old Broadway diva, ushering us to seats and cleverly building the excitement, before introducing us to a range of characters, each complete with accents, outrageous costumes and well rounded back stories that enhance their believability. However, all this pales in comparison to the genius of the songs, especially the lyrics: with witty choruses and satirical verses, there was a joke for every sense of humour' ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
